Florida statewide results and amendments, 2026

Unofficial 2026 results for Florida governor, Cabinet, U.S. Senate and every constitutional amendment, with what each amendment means in plain English.

Amendment 1: Budget Stabilization Fund

Florida keeps a savings account, often called the rainy day fund, for emergencies and budget shortfalls. Today it can hold up to 10% of the state's general revenue. This amendment would raise the limit to 25%, require lawmakers to put in up to $750 million each year until the fund reaches that limit (with some exceptions), and let them take money out for 'critical state needs' with a two-thirds vote once the fund is above 15%.

Yes 40.9%, No 59.1%. 60% yes needed to pass.

Amendment 2: Exemption of Tangible Personal Property on Agricultural Land from Taxation

Businesses in Florida pay local property tax on equipment and other movable property, though the first $25,000 is already exempt. This amendment would fully exempt that kind of property, such as farm machinery and tools, when it is kept on land classified as agricultural, used for farming or agritourism, and owned by the landowner or leaseholder. The Legislature would set the details, and it would start with the 2027 tax year.

Yes 58.2%, No 41.8%. 60% yes needed to pass.

Amendment 3: Increased Homestead Exemption; Lower Cap on Increases in Non-Homestead Property Assessments

Today, Florida homeowners get up to $50,000 taken off their home's taxable value. This amendment would raise that to $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028 for all property taxes except school taxes, with inflation increases after that; people who move to Florida after 2026 would wait until their fifth year for the larger amount. It would also lower the yearly limit on assessment increases for non-homestead property, like rentals and businesses, from 10% to 5%, and limit what counties and cities can spend property tax money on.

Yes 62.0%, No 38.0%. 60% yes needed to pass.
